Denny Hamlin wins his first victory of the season on the Michigan oval. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver took the lead during the final pit stop and finished ahead of Matt Kenseth (Roush Fenway Racing) and Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing).
Paul Menard achieved a great performance by placing fourth in the event. The Richard Childress Racing driver finished ahead of Carl Edwards (Roush Fenway Racing). Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motorsports) had a difficult race and took 27th place.
