Kevin Harvick (Richard Childress Racing) won on the Richmond oval and signed his fourth victory of the season. Carl Edwards (Roush Fenway Racing) finished in the wheels of the No. 29 Chevrolet, ahead of Jeff Gordon (Hendrick Motosports), David Ragan (Roush Fenway Racing) and Kurt Busch (Penske Racing) at the finish line.
Brad Keselowski (Penske Racing), 12th in the race, and Denny Hamlin (Joe Gibbs Racing), ninth, are the two drivers drafted for the Chase. Dale Earnhardt Jr (Hendrick Motorsports) and Tony Stewart-Haas Racing) also remain in the race for the title.
