Kasey Kahne (Red Bull Racing Team) will start on pole for the AdvoCare 500 contested on the Atlanta Motor Speedway oval. Clint Bowyer (Richard Childress Racing) will start from second place ahead of Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing) and Brian Vickers (Red Bull racing Team).
Defending champion Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motorsports) will only start from 17th position.
