Ryan Newman set the fastest time in qualifying for the Coca Cola 600, the longest race on the calendar Nascar. Pilot Newman-Haas Racing will be on pole for the eighth time at Lowe?s Motor Speedway, a record among active drivers.
He is ahead of Kyle Busch, Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin, Jimmie Johnson and Kasey Kahne.
