The Andretti family will maintain its connection to the Wheldon family in the future. If Dan, who died in an accident in Las Vegas in 2011, had won the title in 2005 with Michael Andretti's team (taking the first of his two victories at the Indy 500), it is now his sons Oliver and Sebastian who are joining the team.
