The 5th place (4th in IRC) won by Guy Wilks in Russia allows Proton to score its first five points in the IRC Challenge. The 10th position of the Estonian Kaspar Koiytla (8th in IRC and 1st in two-wheel drive) brought Honda its first point of 2009. Despite his scoreless score in Russia, Peugeot remains in the lead (68pts) while Skoda (43) moves into 2nd position ahead of Mitsubishi (40) and Abarth (25).
