During the qualifying rounds, two men particularly dominated the debates: Andréa Dubourg (DS 3) and Fabien Pailler (Peugeot 208). They were ranked in this order in the intermediate classification.
However, it was Philippe Maloigne (Peugeot 208) who took the Supercar crown to everyone's surprise! The Albatec driver, sixth on Sunday lunchtime, took the B semi-final after a thunderous start in front of Fabien Pailler. He then took advantage of the clash at the start of the Final between Andréa Dubourg, Christophe Housse (DS 3), who will ultimately be downgraded for this maneuver, and Firmin Cadeddu (Citroën C4), the leader of the Championship. The former Motocross rider achieved a perfect final in the lead and won for the second time this season after Châteauroux!
Second, Fabien Pailler (Peugeot 208) consoled himself with a first podium during this difficult season and was ahead of a third Peugeot 208, that of Florent Béduneau, who had come a long way (8th in the intermediate classification).
Also the author of a small feat after a complicated start to the weekend (13th in the intermediate ranking), Fabien Chanoine managed to reach the final at the last minute before finally taking fourth place. The current second in the French Championship could even have hoped for better with a better joker round strategy but still saved the furniture with a view to the title! Plagued by engine problems, Alexandre Theuil (DS 3) had to settle for fifth place in the final.
