The double European champion of Rallycross Reinis Nitiss, involved in rally ERC this season, will freelance in the world rallycross championship at home in Latvia. He will drive the Skoda of the Lithuanian ESMotorsport team for the two rounds of the weekend on September 19 and 20. “I hope we can work with him not only during these two races in Riga, but for other races as well” said team boss Ernestas Staponkus.
Nitiss was in the first season of the WRX in 2014 and then participated in all rounds before turning his attention to the European Championship in 2018 and rallying this season. “ Everyone knows that rallycross is in my heart and it feels great to be back in these cars, especially in my country” Nitiss reacted.
ESmotorsport was unable to take part in the first round of the championship last weekend in Sweden but should therefore be present for the rest of the season.
