« The latest generation of electric vehicles from Ford is perfectly suited to the American mountains, declares the Frenchman, who set a benchmark time of 7'57”148 five years ago at the wheel of an electric Volkswagen. While high altitudes reduce the power of internal combustion engines, the SuperVan 4's electric powertrain suffers no loss at altitude "He says.
“We look forward to seeing Romain ride in the next edition of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. He always comes with his unique expertise that makes him a serious contender and fun to watch, observes Melissa Eickhoff, director of the PPIHC. This year will be no exception. The SuperVan 4 from Ford Performance will delight the crowds. »
"The Pikes Peak IHC is the best place to drive the SuperVan 4, adds Mark Rushbrook, director of Ford Performance Motorsport. Both have evolved over time, and it's time to put our electric technology to the test in the mountains, against some of the most impressive vehicles in the world. »
To see Romain Dumas attempt to follow the track of his record, swallowing the 156 turns of the route in less than 8 minutes, see you on June 25.
