Ross Chastain confirmed at Trackhouse

The 28-year-old Florida driver has signed a multi-year contract to drive the No. 1 Camaro. The question of this second steering wheel remained unresolved since the announcement of the takeover of Chip Ganassi Racing by Trackhouse Racing. Starting this season at Ganassi, Ross Chastain was one of the favorites to join Daniel Suarez.

This announcement has the consequence of placing Kurt Busch without a steering wheel for the coming season. However, persistent rumors announce the 2004 champion in NASCAR Cup Series at 23XI Racing, the team co-owned by Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan, which has announced its intention to acquire a second license.

Currently eighteenth in the regular season standings before the season resumes at Watkins Glen, Ross Chastain is having his best season and has been gaining momentum in recent races. “Watermelon man”, nickname homage to family agricultural activities, will however have to aim for a victory to reach the Playoffs for the first time in his career.
