Paolo Andreucci (Peugeot 207 S2000), Peugeot's last hope to counter the domination of Skoda drivers, fulfills its mission. The Italian driver set the best time on SS11, the penultimate special stage of the Rally from Sardinia. He takes seven tenths back from Jan Kopecky (Skoda Fabia S2000), third overall, and thus consolidates his second place. Juho Hänninen (Skoda Fabia S2000), leader with 36 seconds ahead of Andreucci, can manage his end of the race without taking any risks.
