The very tight ranking of Rally in Sardinia on Saturday evening promised a second and final competitive day. This is the case since, after SS8, it is Kris Meeke (Peugeot 207 S2000) who had stolen first place in the general classification from Paolo Andreucci (Peugeot 207 S2000). In SS9, it was Juho Hänninen (Skoda Fabia S2000) who set the best time, managing to take control of the Rally by beating Kris Meeke by 3??6. The start of the day seems to be favorable for Skoda since Jan Kopecky, fourth, is slowly approaching the podium. He is now 22 seconds behind Paolo Andreucci.
