Olivier Panis, at the wheel of the Peugeot 908 HDi FPA from the Oreca team, achieved the best time in the first free practice session for the 1000 km of Spa-Francorchamps, in 2:16:198. The private 908 beat two of the three factory Peugeots, with the third 908 from the Peugeot Total team placing seventh. The three Audi R15s follow, ranked 8th to 10th.
