Brian Vickers, apart from qualifying and the Nationwide Series race, which takes place this evening, also took part in free practice in the Sprint Cup Series. The pilot Red Bull had the fastest time in the first session of the day, placing second in the second session, behind Mark Martin. But, across the two sessions, it was Brian Vickers who was the fastest. Poleman in the Sprint Cup race which will take place on Sunday, Vickers is therefore clearly the favorite, if nothing disrupts his plans.
