Having been in difficulty since the start of the IRC season, Guy Wilks and his co-driver Phil Pugh want to ward off bad luck this weekend in Scotland, for the penultimate round of the calendar. The British duo hope to be able to take advantage of their knowledge of the muddy forests across the Channel to make a difference.
“The dirt roads we are going to take this weekend are among the most difficult there are, underlines the pilot Peugeot UK. They are both very fast and very narrow. The grip is very low there while we move at 150km/h between the trees? In 2009, I was the first winner of this new event. This year, bad luck sticks to my skin. The RAC Rally of Scotland is, for me, the perfect opportunity to achieve my first IRC victory in 2011.”
