Mattias Ekström won the first qualifying round of World RX at the Circuit Jules Tacheny in Mettet (Belgium) ahead of Petter Solberg and Johan Kristoffersson. Ole-Christian Veiby and Manfred Stöhl complete the top five. Davy Jeanney finished in 9th place while his teammate Timmy Hansen retired following contact. Jérôme Grosset-Janin is 16th ahead of François Duval. The Pailler brothers are on the verge of the top 20. Jean-Baptiste Dubourg is 26th.
