Leader yesterday evening at the end of the first day of the Mettet event in the World Championship of Rallycross, Swede Mattias Ekström (EKS RX) won the third qualifying round this morning in Belgium at the wheel of his Audi S1. Ekström, with a reference time established in 2'43″289, beat the reigning double world champion Petter Solberg (Citroën DS3) and the Frenchman Sébastien Loeb (Team Peugeot -Hansen).
Johan Kristoffersson (VW RX Sweden) took fourth place ahead of Timmy Hansen (Team Peugeot-Hansen) and Davy Jeanney (Peugeot Hansen Academy).
