Petter Solberg and Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen Polo GTi – PSRX VW Sweden) set the two best times in the third qualifying round of the Trois-Rivières meeting in Canada. The double world champion in the discipline set the reference time in 3’24”745, compared to 3’25”587 for the championship leader.
Mattias Ekström (Audi S1 – EKS RX) and Sébastien Loeb (Peugeot 208 WRX – Team Peugeot-Hansen) follow in the standings ahead of Kevin Eriksson (Ford Fiesta – MJP Racing Team Austria). Kristoffersson and Solberg are at the top of the intermediate classification before the last qualifying series, while Sébastien Loeb makes a good comeback in the classification to 8th position. 14th in Q3, Timmy Hansen (Peugeot 208 WRX – Team Peugeot-Hansen) is still not guaranteed to participate in the semi-finals.
Jean-Baptiste Dubourg and Grégoire Demoustier (Peugeot 208 – DA Racing) finished 17th and 19th in the round and are in 18th and 20th places in the provisional classification.
