The reigning World Champion Petter Solberg -SD RX – Citroën DS3) won the last qualifying round of the Franciacorta event in Italy in the World Championship of Rallycross. The Norwegian beat Timmy Hansen (Team Peugeot -Hansen – Peugeot 208) and Robin Larsson (Jernberg Larsson Racing Team – Audi A1).
Davy Jeanney (Team Peugeot-Hansen – Peugeot 208) reached the semi-final, as did Manfred Stohl (Team Austria – Ford Fiesta), despite his roll in free practice. Note that Gigi Galli (Kia Rio) withdrew following her oil leak problems.
