Timur Timerzyanov is in the lead after the first two qualifying heats of the Höljes round. The double European champion is ahead of Mattias Ekström, while Petter Solberg is in third place ahead of Toomas Heikkinen. Davy Jeanney is in 19th position at the end of the first day of competition while Jacques Villeneuve is 21st.
