The stewards present at Spa-Francorchamps for the penultimate round of theELMS reversed their decision. As a reminder, after the race, they imposed a 10” penalty on Antonin Borga (Oreca 07 n°37 of Cool Racing) for dangerous driving, the Swiss having stolen second place from Tristan Gommendy (Oreca 07 n°39 du Graff) a few dozen meters from the finish after a muscular battle.

Dissatisfied, Borga and his teammate Nicolas lapierre did not stay on the podium for the champagne shower. The fact remains that the sports commissioners quite logically reversed their decision by canceling the penalty unfairly inflicted on the Swiss driver.

Cool Racing therefore finally finished second in the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps ahead of Graff. The French team loses a lot in the affair, since with 25 points behind G-Drive Racing, its hopes of titles are dwindling even further.
