For his return to competition in the United States, Kévin Estre finished in third position in the Michelin GT Challange alongside Cooper MacNeil in the Porsche 911 RSR – 19 de WeatherTech Racing. “We were lucky with the yellow flag which helped us and allowed us to get back to the Corvettes, Estre said after the race. I think we had a better pace than them. I had some doors slamming with Nick (Tandy) on the restart, which was useless because I had already passed him. I also managed to overtake number 3, then Nick pushed hard behind me again. I came back to P2 and lost time in traffic, then pushed too hard trying to get back. I made a mistake at Oak Tree and hit the barrier. I was able to come back but it was too late (to overtake Antonio Garcia in slow motion in the final moments, Editor’s note). It's a shame. »
