Swiss pilot Claude Haldi has died at the age of 75. Engaged at the start of 24 Hours of Le Mans à 22 reprises entre 1968 et 1993, le natif de Lausanne n’a cependant terminé qu’à cinq reprises le double tour d’horloge sarthois, remportant la catégorie GTX en 1975 sur une Porsche Carrera Turbo, partagée avec Bernard Beguin et Peter Zbinden.

Claude Haldi also distinguished himself in rally (1979 Swiss champion), in hill racing (1970 European champion in Grand Touring) or in other endurance events (winner of the 1000 km of Spa in 1984 in the GT category, and second in the 24 Hours of Spa in 1969).

AUTO editorial staffhebdo extends its sincere condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Claude Haldi.
