Gary Paffett (Mercedes, 1?10??471) obtained pole position during qualifying for the round of DTM in Adria. The Briton allows Mercedes to continue its extreme domination over Audi this season. Bruno Spengler (Mercedes, 1:10:481), former leader of the general classification and still in the race for the title, will start alongside him on the front row. Paul di Resta (Mercedes, 1:10:309 in Q3), leader of the general classification, will start in sixth position. Alexandre Prémat (Audi, 1:10:466 in Q2) will start from eleventh place.
