Liam Lawson (AF Corse) is in good shape and found this morning near Assen (Netherlands). Runner-up to Kelvin van der Linde (ABT) in the championship, the New Zealander distinguished himself by taking pole position in Race 1 with a time of 1'32"186 while his opposite number was ranked 8th by just under 3 tenths. Marco Wittmann (Walkenhorst Motorsport) and Mirko Bortolotti (T3 Motorsport) completed the Top 3.
The session was interrupted a few moments after the American Dev Gore (Team Rosberg) went off the track almost 5 minutes from the checkered flag.
