Violently damaged at the Lausitzring, the Audi RS 5 DTM of reigning champion René Rast will benefit from the same monocoque this weekend in Hungary, the basic cell of the car with the rings having remained intact.
Audi Sport therefore carried out extensive investigations, using ultrasound to ensure the total integrity of the carbon fiber monocoque. After checks at the Audi Sport premises, the car will then be shipped to Hungary where Rast will also return to the track.
