On his land, lucas auer (Mercedes) started the weekend of DTM au Red Bull Ring (Austria) in the best possible way. Late Friday afternoon, the 24-year-old Austrian set the best time in the first free practice session.
For his first experience on the circuit, the five-time world rally champion (WRC) Sébastien Ogier (Mercedes) recorded the 17th fastest time, ahead of big names such as Bruno Spengler (BMW) and Philipp Eng (BMW). His compatriot Loïc duval (Audi) also led an encouraging session, marked by 9th place.
