Former Formula resident Renault 3.5 Series, Igor Salaquarda will make his Blancpain debut this weekend Endurance Series. The Czech will pilot a Ferrari 458 Italia from the Vita4One team with his compatriot Martin Matzke and the German Michael Bartels, boss of the team.
This is not the first time that Salaquarda will take part in an “endurance” race. In 2009, he took part in the 1000 km of Spa-Francorchamps at the wheel of a Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT with which he finished second in the LMGT1 category.
Note that this freelance could lead to a full-time commitment next year. It remains to be seen in which discipline, knowing that Vita4One will represent Ferrari in the new GT world championship.
