Brad Keselowski on pole for the restart
The Ford Mustang 2 driver will take a Team Penske hat-trick to the start of the Watkins Glen round. Joey Logano will share the front row with him ahead of Ryan Blaney and Kyle Larson in the first Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet.

Since its introduction, the segment format has provided a real surplus of spectacle on ovals but is increasingly criticized for road races. Organizers took this into account by reducing the first two race segments to 20 laps before a final sprint of 42 laps. With 90 laps to cover, the race will be 220,5 miles (354,78 km).
