Bruno Spengler (BMW), set the best time in the first free practice session of the DTM at the Norisring (Germany) in 47 »971. The Canadian driver is ahead of Mattias Ekström (Audi), who is skipping his World RX weekend, and Tom Blomqvist (BMW).
Timo Glock (BMW) and Nico Müller (Audi) complete the top 5 ahead of the first Mercedes by Gary Paffett. All the drivers are within less than nine tenths. For his part, Loïc duval (Audi) finished the session in 17th position.
