Dani Juncadella beats the rain in Q1 at the Red Bull Ring

The Spaniard Daniel Juncadella (Mercedes) took pole position for the first race of the DTM au Red Bull Ring this Saturday, playing with track conditions made very complicated by the heavy rain in Styria.

The AKKA-ASP driver in Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup set the best time of the session, a time interrupted by a red flag while waiting for an improvement in conditions, in 1'36"071, and ahead of Timo Glock's BMW M71 by 4 thousandths and the Audi RS by 229 thousandths. 5 by Mike Rockenfeller.

Followed by the Mercedes of Paul di Resta and the BMW of Marco Wittmann. Championship leader Gary Paffett (Mercedes) only set the 10th fastest time, after going into the gravel trap during the session. Loïc duval (Audi) climbs to 11th position, Sébastien Ogier (Mercedes) will start from the 19th and last position.
