Before his next engagement at Misano in DTM with BMW, Alessandro Zanardi enhanced his collection of world hand-bike medals with two new charms won last weekend on his Italian lands in Maniago.
The former two-time CART champion took the bronze medal in the individual time trial behind American Oscar Sanchez and Dutchman Tim de Vries. In the road race, Zanardi, involved in a collective accident, could not do better than eighth, but made up for it with the team relay and the silver medal.
