The Austrian Lucas Auer, who will compete for the ART Grand Prix team in DTM this season, set the best time (1'32″748) of the morning during the tests held on the Portuguese track of Estoril. The pilot of the Mercedes-AMG C63 ahead of three Audi RS 5 DTMs, those of Mike Rockenfeller, Miguel Molina, and Nico Müller. Adrien Tambay places his Audi in 6th position. Augusto Farfus signs the best performance for a BMW M4 in 7th place.
