The Brazilian from BMW, final challenger to Mike Rockenfeller (Audi) for the title DTM 2013, achieved the best time in the free practice session in 1'31″904, under the sun on Saturday morning in Zandvoort. He is ahead of the two Audi drivers Edoardo Mortara (at 0″18) and Adrien Tambay (at 0″23). The championship leader finished 6th (at 0″3), just ahead of 2012 champion Bruno Spengler (BMW). The qualifying session for this penultimate round of the season is scheduled for 14:40 p.m.
