Bruno Spengler gives BMW the first pole of the season on the Lausitzring circuit. The propeller manufacturer even takes the first row with Augusto Farfus in second place. Gary Paffett (Mercedes), winner of the first race at Hockenheim, is third ahead of the Audi A5s DTM by Mike Rockenfeller and Edoardo Mortara. Frenchman Adrien Tambay (Audi) takes tenth place.
