The former pilot of F1 David Coulthard will play a third season of DTM with Mercedes. At almost 41 years old, the Scot hopes to position himself a little better on the grid in 2012. Last year, he only managed to score one point, all accompanied by a better time. “The DTM is entering a new era, explains Coulthard. This promises change. There are new cars, new technical rules as well as new competitors. My first impressions of the C-Class Coupe are positive, especially the steering wheel paddles which remind me of my F1 days and which make gear changes easier. » In addition to his DTM programme, Coulthard will continue his role as BBC consultant during F1 GPs.
