The Mercedes manage to be in rhythm with the tests of the DTM at the Nürburgring, the rain allowing the AMG C Coupé to make up for their lack of performance. At the end of the two sessions, Paul di Resta achieved the best time with a lap completed in 1'23"578, only nine thousandths ahead of Timo Scheider (Audi). The gaps are very tight since Championship leader Marco Wittmann (BMW) follows 16 thousandths ahead of Antonio Felix da Costa (BMW) and Timo Glock (BMW) who is only half a tenth behind! Adrien Tambay (Audi) follows in sixth place, 62 thousandths behind.
