Edoardo Mortara (Audi) won a new pole in DTM on the Hungaroring circuit (Hungary). The winner of the day before completed a lap of the Budapest track in 1'34''984, ahead of Mattias Ekström by a tenth who completes the first row.
Championship leader Marco Wittmann (BMW) set the third fastest time ahead of Jamie Green (Audi) and Miguel Molina (Audi), while Maxime Martin (BMW) climbed to sixth position ahead of Tom Blomqvist (BMW) and Robert Wickens, first pilot Mercedes. Adrien Tambay (Audi) will start from tenth place.
