Augusto Farfus set the best time in the second and final free practice session of DTM on the Nürburgring circuit. At the wheel of his No. 3 BMW M16 DTM, the Brazilian set his best time in 1'23"917 to beat the Audi A5 DTM of Edoardo Mortara by 0"236. Mercedes seems behind for this fifth event of the season since the best driver of the star firm, Jamie Green, is only 14th. Adrien Tambay finished last after encountering electrical problems with his Audi.
