Nico Müller set the best time in the third free practice session at the Nürburgring meeting. The Audi driver completed his benchmark lap in 1'23″375, ahead of Gary Paffett (Mercedes) of 151 thousandths and Maxime Martin (BMW) of 230 thousandths.
The Audi RS 5 of Edoardo Mortara and Timo Scheider follow in the top 5 ahead of the Mercedes of Lucas Auer. The top 10 is completed by the Audis of Mike Rockenfeller, Miguel Molina, Mattias Ekström and Adrien Tambay.
Robert Wickens (Mercedes) was forced to stop at the side of the track following a loose right rear wheel.
