DTM – Green on pole of the C1

Best time in the two free practice sessions, Jamie Green confirmed his good disposition in qualifying. In Austria, the Briton from Team Rosberg completed a lap of the Red Bull Ring in 1'21"973 which allows him to take his first pole position this season, his twelfth in his career.

Green ahead of two other Audi RS5s DTM, namely those of Nico Müller (+0”021) and Mattias Ekström (+0”073), who leads the championship with ten points ahead of Lucas Auer and thirteen over René Rast, respectively twelfth and sixth in this session timed.

The best BMW driver, Marco Wittmann (BMW Team RMG), is fourth at 0, just ahead of Mike Rockenfeller (Audi / Team Phoenix) and two places ahead of Canadian Robert Wickens, the fastest of the clan Mercedes.

Belgian Maxime Martin (BMW Team RBM) is eighth. His teammate Bruno Spengler, thirteenth, precedes the Italian Edoardo Mortara Mercedes-AMG Motorsport BWT. French Loïc duval (Audi / Team Phoenix) is 17th, 0”738 behind the benchmark.

The start of the race will be at 14:48 p.m.
