Augusto Farfus (BMW) dominated the qualifying session which determines the starting grid for the first race which will take place late in the afternoon at Zandvoort in the Netherlands. The Brazilian dominated the session with a best time set in 1'36"266, to be just eight thousandths ahead of Marco Wittmann and António Félix da Costa who set the same time. Maxime Martin completes the 100% BMW leading quartet.
Gary Paffett (Mercedes – ART Grand Prix) ranks best of the others in fifth position ahead of the Audi RS5 of Jamie Green.
