Already best time yesterday in Q1, Lucas Auer (Mercedes) repeated his performance this Sunday by dominating the second qualifying session of the Nürburgring meeting in DTM. The Austrian, who was unable to take advantage of his performance on Saturday, penalized by five places on the grid, completed the reference lap in 1'22"728, three hundredths better than the championship leader and winner the day before Marco Wittmann (BMW).
Bruno Spengler, Tom Blomqvist and Augusto Farfus (BMW) follow in the top 5 ahead of the first Audi RS 5 of Edoardo Mortara. The Italian precedes Jamie Green (Audi) and Miguel Molina (Audi). Daniel Juncadella (Mercedes) and Mattias Ekström (Audi) will start from 9th and 10th positions.
