It was the outgoing double champion Timo Scheider who took pole position for the ninth round of the championship DTM contested on the shortened circuit (see here) of Hockenheim. Thanks to a time of 1:37:399, the German from Audi is ahead of his compatriot Mike Rockenfeller, who also has a car from the brand with the rings.

Gary Paffett, best driver Mercedes, is third, just ahead of Frenchman Alexandre Prémat, who put in a great performance aboard his Audi A4 from the Phoenix team.

Second in the provisional general classification, the Scotsman Paul di Resta placed his Mercedes C-Class on fifth place on the starting grid, while the leader Bruno Spengler, who also defends the colors of the star firm, did not. was able to do better than the 14th time.
