After setting the ninth fastest time during qualifying for the Lausitzring race, Timo Scheider set the best time in the warm-up. The Audi driver completed the lap of the German circuit in 1:20:302. Gary Paffett (Mercedes) follows at 0'051 ahead of Audi driver Oliver Jarvis (+ 0??061).
Pole sitter Bruno Spengler (Mercedes) set the 14th time at 0??351. Tom Kristensen (Audi), luxury replacement for Mike Rockenfeller, is 12th in the session (+ 0??286). The first 17 drivers regroup in less than six tenths.
