Bruno Spengler (Mercedes), who lost the lead in the ranking of DTM for the benefit of Paul di Resta (Mercedes), achieved the best time in the second free practice session at Adria, in 1:10:238. He beat Timo Scheider (Audi A4, 1:10:293) and Alexandre Prémat (Audi A4, 1:10:330).
