Paul di Resta (Mercedes), started fifth in the Hockenheim race, won for the third time in a row this season. The Briton beat Timo Scheider (Audi) and Mike Rockenfeller (Audi), while Alexandre Prémat (Audi) and Bruno Spengler (Mercedes) did not finish.
Di Resta took advantage of Spengler?s retirement to take the lead in the championship, two races from the end of the season.
