German Marco Wittmann (BMW) wins the first race of the season DTM at Hockenheim by winning ahead of the Audis of Swede Mattias Ekström and Frenchman Adrien Tambay. The Germans Mike Rockenfeller (Audi) and Timo Glock (BMW) complete the top five ahead of the Canadian Bruno Spengler (BMW) and Martin Tomczyk (BMW). The Scotsman Paul di Resta (Mercedes) ranks 14th while Vitaly Petrov (Mercedes) finishes in 17th place.
