Paul di Resta (Mercedes) set the best time in the second free practice session of the DTM at the Nürburgring on a rain-soaked track. With a time of 1'35''935, he is three tenths ahead of his teammate Gary Paffet, leader the day before.
Timo Glock (BMW) places third and Mattias Ekström (Audi) fourth, placing the three manufacturers in the top 4. René Rast (Mercedes) is 5e ahead of reigning champion Marco Wittmann (BMW). Lucas Auer (Mercedes) places 7e and ahead of Augusto Farfus (BMW) and Edoardo Mortara (Mercedes). Maxime Martin (BMW) completes the top 10 while Loïc duval (Audi) finishes 18e.
