Following the contact at the end of the race which involved Kévin Estre (Hexis Racing), Alon Day (HTP Gravity Charouz) and Alvaro Parente (Sebastien Loeb Racing), the race management decided to impose a 10-second penalty on the Israeli Day and the Frenchman Estre. As a result of this decision, the two men each lost a place to the benefit of the McLaren n°9 of Parente/Loeb who therefore ranks second in this race behind the champions Ortelli and Vanthoor.
